The Team at Oxford Circus

Val, from Malta, is fixture at ColourNation. He was the Soho manager but now steps in to ensure the smooth running of Oxford Circus as well as focusing more time on what he loves most which is hair styling and heading our Creative Team.

He really gets on well with the ladies and if you're at all unsure of your colour or style choice he'll put you right at ease. He's a maestro with Wella colours (see below 2012 Colourist of the Year Finalist) - if he can't create your colour no one can and this makes him the first choice for colour corrections (fixing other salons mistakes / DIY disasters).

Val is often called on for session work and works in the fashion industry with major photoshoots for International high fashion magazines including Oyster and Vogue.

You'll find Val's 'Hair Doctor' advice all over our forums where he tries to help our website visitors with their hair questions.

Val is one of only five finalists for the Colourist of the Year 2012 Award at the 2012 English Hair and Beauty Awards.

Sheila is our style director and one of the creative team. Sheila is originally from the Philippines but fully trained and experienced in the UK.

Sheila is very experienced in cutting, colouring and permanent/semi hair straightening and hair extensions.
She is friendly, happy to listen, will give honest opinion and advice to look after your hair IE on products or blow-drying your hair at home.

Sheila will definitely put you at ease if you want Sheila to do your hair, we would definitely advise you to book your appointment or consultation.

Grant from Oz is the manager at Oxford Circus. He also previously managed the Soho branch before leaving us for a year to work as air crew, now with the travel bug sated he's back where he belongs with the team in Oxford Circus.

Grant is a great all-rounder with hair-ups, wedding hair, colour, cuts, straightenings and hair extensions all mastered - there's not much he can't do.

Brad our assistant manager joins us from Australia where he was a national demonstrator for Great Lengths hair extensions. Brad's a lovely guy, really friendly and chilled, he'll instantly put you at ease. He's now wowing clients (and himself) with our new Great Lengths Hair Extensions (no heat, no glue, no damage) and has recently been shortlisted for the 2010 Great Lengths Gold Trophy Extensionist of the Year Award. He's also a safe pair of hands for colour, straightening and cuts.

Edgar is gaining a dedicated following within the salon. While he trained as a hairdresser he's sometimes been pulled way for modeling contracts and to pursue he passion for photography. His experience in front of and behind the camera flavours his hairstyles and colours to produce contemporary styles that work for the client in everyday life. Edgar is an IHR straightening master.

Heidi joins us from Finchleys Lexingtons Salon where she had been for four years. Heidi was a UK finalist for the Goldwell Trend Zoom Color Challenge 2008. She has also trained with Great Lengths Hair Extensions both in South Africa and the UK. Heidi has worked with Brazilian Straightening for several years. Heidi holds joint South African/ German Nationality. Heidi will often sketch out what she's planning to create for clients which really helps visualise the result she's aiming for.

Patrycja from Poland has joined us fulltime as a Stylist having previously worked with us for a couple of years on Saturdays while she trained and then a couple of years as a Graduate Stylist. Patrycja is a good choice if you're on a budget and her colour work is great.

Salma is being promoted to Stylist from the 1st of March so grab a bargain until then when she is still charging Graduate Stylists prices. Salma has been working at ColourNation now for over three years during which time she has grown and developed into a very skilled stylist, add to this her calm, friendly manner and it's easy to see why the team and clients alike love her. She is fully trained in Hair Colouring, Brazilian Straightening, IHR Straightening and Nanomax hair repair treatment.
