What is it? IHR Straightening System from £280 by IHR.

Application: My hair is washed then a treament is applied to break down the hair's bonds. Once washed and dried my hair is a huge expanse of frizz. It's ironed straight and a setting solution applied, which styas on for 20 minutes. Myahir is shampooed, conditioned and dried. Annoyingly I must avoid washing it for 48 hours and tying it up for two weeks. The treatment takes over three hours.

Results: I love the results. My hair is straight, it feels soft, looks healthy and has made my face look thinner. The results are permanent and will fade as my hair grows out.

Before having the IHR treatment I had spiral curly hair, which I would have to wash every day in order to get a comb through it. Fine in the winter but a night mare in the summer, especially in humid conditions when I would end up looking like a frizzy poodle. I first had the ihr treatment a year ago, I was little scared as had never had anything like this done before. The difference it made was instant. I didn’t have to wash my hair every day, when I stepped out bed and ran a comb through it my hair would look as though it had been blow dried. I only had to wash my hair every 2 or 3 days which also made my hair look and become healthier. About 4 months later I started to notice the regrowth. I left it for about a month, but with fashion week impending I decided that I better have it done again. So two weeks before fashion week I went back to Colour Nation for the roots to be treated. It was much quicker this time as only the tips were being straightened. And I have had the same results as I did the first time. Having my hair straightened has made a huge difference to my life,
I have to travel a lot for shoots and press trips and it just means I never have to book in for a blow dry any more. Doing my hair in the morning has change from washing, conditioning treatment, comb through with product and diffusing dry to simply wake up, comb hair.

It’s amazing and I would genuinely highly recommend this treatment to anyone who has a busy lifestyle, goes for regular blow dries and just wants to reclaim a bit of extra time. The fact that I haven’t been for blow dries also means that the condition of my hair has vastly improved and I can grow it, which I could never really do before as I would always have to have my split ends cut out. In short, I have loved the treatment and it has not only improved my look and the condition of my hair but has also made my life a lot easier in the mornings and before events.
I’m really very happy with it and would definitely recommend it.’
