Val was nominated for the Colourist of the Year 2012 award as voted by the public at the English Hair and Beauty Awards 2012.

Val was recognised as one of the five best colourists in the UK at this prestigius awards ceremony hosted by the Saturdays pop group.

Val didn't win this year but it's only a matter of time...
