Hi there, I'm 16 years old and have very dry (frizzy) hair and curly at places, wavy at others. I was thinking on doing this Permanent hair straightening thing... and also do something to colour my hair the way I dont have to cut it out to remove the color so they suggested me an extension at one of the bangs. Is this safe?.. thanks

HI there,

Yes it is important that within those first 4 days you do not clip, wear hats etc... so you leave the hair to settle.

The good news is that you can cut the hair on the day, that is fine.

For IHR you should always come in for a consultation first so we take a good look at the hair and your needs.

To book for your free consultation you may contact us on 0207 836 8883.

Regards,

Val

Hi
If i were to have IHR done can i get my haircut straight after or do i have to wait after the 1st wash?.
The problem is when it is straightened it will be much longer than what i want it to be (my desired style) so i'd have to brush it back as a fringe would be too long like this:
Click to see original Image in a new window

If i do this i fear the hair may curl were it tucks behind the ears and i heard that the hair can still bend permantly a few days after the treatment etc.
Does the hair after the treatment need to be kept down, not wearing hats/caps to avoid kinks/waves etc?
Also after my 1st wash after 3 or 4 days is there still a chance that the hair may kink, bend or can i wear it how i want?

Hey Jaz,

Of course the more permanent straightenings do work better, but are considerably more expensive.

It all depends on how strong your curl is really.

There's also the opption of the Keratin-based Chemically free Brazillian straightening, which apart from straightening and making the hair more managable it also improoves the quality of the hair. It is however a semi-permanent straightening that lasts 3-4 months but makes your hair much easier to handle.

If you'd like you can always come in for a free consultation to see what would be best for your hair.

To book for your consultation you may contact us on 0207 836 8883.

Regards,

Val

HI there,

you would need to wait 4 days before washing your hair.

The stiffness does go because between all strands being straightened bit by bit, plus the grease accumulated over 4 days it tends to be a bit flat.

Regards,

Val

Hi
When IHR is done how long before i can wash my hair?.
Also i heard that with chemcial straightening the first few times you wash your hair after having it done the hair will loose some stuiffness to get a better look, is this correct?

Hi there,

Since your hair has been bleached using the permanent straightening (IHR) is not advisable as it is likely to react to thechemicals and may even snap!

You could of course consider it if you are ready to cut outthe bleached bits.

Your other option is the Brazillian straightening which can be performed on bleached hair, however it is a semi permanent product, but will tame the frizz and help you with the day to day managability of your hair.

If you would liek some further information, or book a consultation or your service appointment you may contact us on 0207 836 8883.

regards,

Val
