For some customers after IHR Hair Straightening this is quite possible. :)

We would describe the results as like having 'naturally straight hair'. Many people who have naturally straight hair may need to do some blowdrying to get dead straight but others don't. It depends on so many factors, your type of hair or the way you sleep at night - if you toss and turn a lot your hair may need more work in the morning.

Hope it helps

Andrew

hello there. i have a question about IHR. Once you have washed your hair after the process, will i still need to blow dry it? i had my hair done with wellastrate (strong) and it worked fine, i didnt had to blow dry it at all, the hair was a little damage but i liked the results. i Had it done in brazil, and now im trying to find a new product (a better one), but that will make me a "blow dry free". Do you think IHR would work for me? thank you very much for your time.

Our clients report that after having Ionic Permanent Straightening (IHR) they no longer need to straighten their hair and more importantly for you their hair no longer goes frizzy in rain.

Image that you had naturally straight hair... you would occasionally need to do a little work with straighteners or blow drying to get dead straight (perhaps you slept on it and left a kink) that's the result you'll get with IHR straightening.

Hope it helps

G_mom with wavy hair
hi
I have wavy hair which is dry and frizzy. I do not want to have to straight style my hair after every wash. plus it gets horrible in rainy season. I have read quite a few reviews on staightening. but i still am not able to figure out if straightening my hair would eliminate the need to use blow dryers or styling. I just want a no fuss hair style. I have used relaxer on my hair, so is it okay to go for straightening and if yes which one?

Good question..

It might. Although there is a limit to the 'hair weight' effect - and I'm not sure it's officially recognised anywhere it's just what we've seen.

It also depends on your hair type and how it grows, tight strong kurls will obviously fight the effect more strongly.

If someone has only 4 inches of hair this probably won't 'pull' the new growth straight to any extent while someone with 25-30" might see new growth straightened a bit longer than short hair.

IHR treatment should last 8-12 months for most customers.

If your hair is naturally curly from it's initial growth then this would be less. Look at your hair, how far from the scalp is it before it starts to curl? In this picture the model has maybe 4cm's before it gets really curly. Assuming 1cm hair growth a month that would be 4 months BUT that's what you currently have naturally, with straightened hair pulling (with it's weight) new hair straight this could mean 6-8 cm and 6-8 months before you'd need it redone.

(if your hair only grows 0.5 cm per month you can double the figures abouve - 8-12 months is normal)

Hair that has been permenantly straightened won't have to be done again just the new hair that has grown since.

hope it helps

i have shortish hair (about an inch below the jaw line. although its very curly - a bit like this:-
Click to see original Image in a new window

when i straighten it takes about three to four days to kink up. it grows about a 1/2cm per month

i was wondering how long you think the treatment would last?

I had IHR last week @ ColourNation and it rocks. Better IMHO than Yuko which I'd previously had. The results are really soft and natural - when I had Yuko it was no where near as soft and flowing.

Stylists here really know what they're doing.
