hi firstly hun dont use a semi to try and make it lighter it wont work,unless you are going darker.to make your hair lighter why not ask for bleach to be added and if it turns out with a tinge of yellow they then put a toner on it after this it will remove that tinge.but what i think you should do is go to another salon or ask the one you go to if they could do some strand tests choose some clours and they will show you the results if you are happy choose the one you want then at least you know your gonna get the colour you want.(you can see it before they do it they will remove a small amount of hair underneath to do the tests you want be able to see where theyve taken it ive had it done loads of times )
