What is best way to get this amount of definition in your hair:

It looks like she's done twist outs, though she may have used a roller set for the first photo, given how smooth it looks. Some advice on products/procedures for people who have tried it if you please!!

Also, one last request- how do you put your hair up in this loose manner, using bobby pins?

Hi there,

It all depends on how curly the hair is to start with..

If the hair in question already has thight curls then all you would really need is definition, so you could use a glaze or a light mousse depending on how hard you would want the result.

Corinne Bailey Rae's hair in this shoot is likely to have been achieved using some perm-rods (small rollers) or micro curling tongs.

To achieve great loking curls without the frizz try Sebastian's Whippede Cream, great for curls especially if you will be letting them dry naturally,

As for Uma's hairstyle it is a matter of grabbing strands of locks and attaching them at the back with hairpins,..you could opt for a little bun at the middle of the back of your head for added support to attachs the hairpins to.

Regards,

Val
