reducing hair colourant used on grey hair .
G_Anonymous

Apart from letting the colour grow out naturally, if at all possible I would like to hasten the process by removing the colourant that my hair dresser has used. Reason: My hair feels like wire and is just awful as i have no control over it since the recent beige blonde colour was applied to my hair. And this is despite me using conditioner etc when shampooing. It feels just like straw? Can you advise please.

I live in Scotland and I found your website after searching for some considerable time for a suitable one. It looks very professional and clean and tidy. I do hope you can advise me.

Thanks for your post. If you'd like to call us 020 7836 8883 or email us (covent(-a t.)colournation.com), we'll be pleased to have one of our experienced stylists talk you through the options. (Just them tell you posted on the website so they'll know the problems you're having).

You might also be interested in our Ionic Hair Resurrectant Treatment which will stop your hair feeling like 'straw' and give you body, sheen and feel back into your hair.

What's the point in having questions asked if you are not going to answer them here???????????

I would have liked to read a practical answer to this as I have the question as well.

The trouble is that everyone's hair is slightly different and the treatment they've had may be different too. In which case the best thing to do is call us for a free consultation where one of experienced stylist can examine your hair and consider what steps are best for your needs. Call us on 0207 836 8883 for a free consultation.

In this particular case the person asking the question seemed to be asking to reduce the colour because she believed taht would reduce the 'wire' like feel of her hair. It won't - if anything more colour could make it worse. Therefore a repair treatment is the best bet to fix the damage.

If you have a specific question, give us much detail as possible and even a pic and we'll try and answer for you you.

Andrew
