I'm not an expert on the other systems but what I have been able to pick-up from our customers is that:-
a) Yuko can't be applied to hair with any colour in it. b) Yuko is much more expensive that our system. c) The result are the same if not better with the Ionic Hair Retexturisation (IHR) method. hope it helps Andrew

At this time we only offer IHR treatment at our Soho branch.
The price for short hair is £270 and we give you a free Ionic Brush worth £10 which will help you maintain your hair after treatment. You can read more here. Andrew

Hi,
Quick question: I'm a guy with quite thick, dense hair, short/medium in length. At times it's frizzy and dull. Aaaaargh!!! I've always fancied really straight, sleek hair that I can mold and do stuff with. Would IHR work for me? Have many guys had it done? cheers!

How many colors have I had last year?! What to do now? |

Hi everyone! Can't sleep so using the time to search on my favourite topic: hair!
Quite interested in your straightening technique & willing to treat myself to a bit of pampering, but so many things I want to do to my hair I'm not sure in which order to start. I want to straighten it, re-color it to a much lighter shade, and also find a new style. Only big worry is that I have already coloured it about 5 times over the last 12 months, dying it a light shade then darker again & again. Now it looks tired, dull, & lacks vitality - did have it cut twice though during that time in an attempt to give it a boost (myth or reality?). How long should I give it before coloring it again? Would be very nice to have a quick cut (level the hair length a the back) instead of a free iron brush... Would that be possible?

We probably should make more of this but we actually include a little trim in the straightening process. We want you to leave us feeling special :)
If your hair has been coloured a lot and the hair is now a little damaged you might want to consider a the Hair Reapir Clinic first this would give your hair strength and vitality back before you attempt anything else. Provided your hair hasn't been coloured in the last couple of weeks the straightening process should work fine. Once you've had your hair straightened you can wait a couple of weeks and add more colour. As you've done a lot to your hair in the past this will make our job a bit more challenging. I'd suggest you call Soho and ask for an appointment with Luiz he's our most experienced stylist with colour and straightening. hope it helps (and you got some sleep) Andrew

That sounds really similar to me actually, I have really curly, frizzy hair and because I also dye it a lot to a lighter shade it's also dry and damaged, I'm very interested in this treatment hopefully I'll be able 2 get it done 4 my b*day. I hate my hair so much that I wear it up all the time and have always dreamed of having shiny, straight hair, I even have the GHD straighteners but still looks dull. Is it possible to have highlights in your hair after the treatment? And is there any other salons that offer the Hair Repair Clinic as I live far away from London but it sounds really ideal for me.

I'm really struggling to answer your mail because I can hear the pain(?) in your message. I know that sounds OTT and I'm sorry. But it just rings so true with the comments we get from the customers who come to us for the treatment.
I don't normally post customer comments because I'm pretty sure no one would believe the reactions we get. An example (and perhaps an extreme) was from a young woman of 30 who was almost dancing around the salon when the treatment was complete. She said and I promise I quote 'This has changed my life. I've been a prisoner of curley hair for 30 years and now I'm free'. I know, I know, it sounds to much and that's why I've not written it before, but it really did happen. I'm afraid I don't know of anywhere offering the Hair Repair Clinic outside London. (Although there are plan for ColourNation to expand beyond London in the coming months). Where are you based? Many of our customers for IHR and Hair Repair Clinic do travel from all over to reach us, Germany, France, Scotland, Cornwall to name just a few. I guess when you compare the rail fare to the treatment cost it's not so big a deal and because of our central location (including NEW Covent Garden Salon) you can combine some shopping with your treatment. Regarding highlights and colour in your hair with IHR we recommend not colouring your hair two weeks before or two weeks after the treatment but you can then colour as normal. A little more than I'd planned to write but I hope it helped Andrew

I can't tell you how excited I am about this!! I'm one of those "that would change my life" types, after years of struggling to tame thick fuzzy hair.
My hair is just below my ears if not straightened, and when I've attacked it with my straighteners it's just skimming my shoulders. What length would that be and how much would the treatment be? And is there a waiting list? Questions questions questions!
