Hi there,

I would suggest coming in for a consultation for this one as it would be better for us to see the hair to be able to give objective advice on the matter.

I've seen the procedure in question done with difital perm (which is a service we offer)

To book for your free consultation you can contact us on 0845 88 88 333.

Regards,

Val

Hi,

I have mixed race hair with varying textures - ranging from almost Afro to almost straight European.

My hair is natural (and has been for 7-8 years) though it's not in great condition at the moment.

I once had a perm while visiting the US. Instead of the usual straighten-then-curl procedure, the stylist only carried out the curling part (on rollers). The effect was lovely, curling the straighter parts and straightening the tightest curls. It was very easy to manage and I had no breakage.

I've never seen this done in the UK though I'd love to have the treatment again. Do you know what the process is called, and do you offer this at your salon?

Thanks!

Hi Phoebe,

I would probably suggest to come in for a free consultation so you can meet one of our stylists and have a chat to discuss your desired results, and how to go about achieving them.

I would book with a Senior stylist or higher in your case.

To book for your free consultation you can contact us on 0845 8888 333.

Regards,

Val

Hey there...

Hmmmm,...a perm,....probably not advisable as it would most likely dry the hair out with teh chemicals.

I would definitely look into The Brazillian Smoothing system which is first and foremost a Keratin treatment which improoves the quality of the hair, and in teh process it also relaxes the hair.

By relaxing the cirl does not mean that it will give you straight hair,..but should you want to style it straight or use tongs it will make it easier to manage.

Regards,

Val

I'm mixed race and have extremely dry thin frizzy hair that is only really curly when wet and as it drys turns afro. I was hoping to get some advice on the best option for my type of hair I do not want to have straight hair but difined curls when dry without using curling tongs every day! Is that posible?!! I have tried various conditioners but none seem to make my hair softer or even combable when dry. A friend suggested I get a perm?!! Help!! xx
Thanks, Ellie

Hey i have mixed race hair, i dyed it alot and have given it a rest for 5 months and its re growing, it used to be very long.
I would liek to find a regular good hairdresser and have struggled to find one.
for wash trim and treatment and straighten (not permnent)
I would ideally liek to go to one regualry to help make my hair grow longer and healthier.
can you do this?
i would be really grateful.
Im aware it could take a long time, but i just want a good relaible hairdresser that wil come to know my hair and help it grow.

thank you
p

Hi there,

Do u mean you want to try and straighten at home, or are you going to pay your salon a visit?

If you are gonna try and do it yourself be very careful, read the instructions well, and ideally get a friend to do it for you as you have to make sure you do not get it onto the scalp! as this can lead to breakage!

If you are gonna go to a salon you don;t need to take precautions as they'll take care of it for you.

Here at ColourNation we do consultations prior to our permanent straightening to make sure that the hair is suitabel etc.

Should you like to come in for a free consultation you may contact us on 0207 836 8883.

Regards,

Val
