The orange will probably fade away after many showers

In the short term if you really hate it you should get a temporary dye like an ash blonde colour (not one that lightens hair - it will look balckish brown in the tube)as the tones will help to even out and reduce the orange. Having suffered this myself I also recommend using L'oreal shine blonde shampoo and conditioner which is purple and tones down brassiness. Also you can get a mousse in Boots etc which is purple and does the same thing,

The thing to remember is that you obviously have a lot of red in your natural hair colour so when you go to the ahirdressers again, steer clear of any pink, goldy, orangey tones as they will make it worse and go for ashy, cooler colours which will complement the tone.

i wouldnt try anything on my own. you should have went back to teh first hairdressor and made her fix it. you might try giong back to the second one and making her fix it. You can try doing lowlights which is where they put in darker colors to even out the orange and blond highlights or you might have to color your whole head with a permanent hair color and put a few highlights in that way.

Orange Hair!
G_Anonymous
Hi I have now been to two hairdressers in one day, first to have my hair lightened which turned out very orange and bland, then the second to try and add definition and remove the orange look. All I have ended up with is an orange blonde hair with lighter blonde highlights and I hate it. What can I do to get rid of the orange and tone down the blonde so that I can look relatively normal again? Please help!
Can I buy a toner from boots to remove this issue, without having to damage my hair any further than it already is, I just wish I'd left well alone. Please note my natural colour is medium brown.
