i need help finding pictures of people who have their hair colored with blonde on top & brown or black on the bottom.

my hair is naturally dark brunette [a tad shade off of black] & i would like to keep my natural hair color under a striking blonde color.
however, i dont want it to look chunky, or bleached. kind of, rock layered, windblown.

if anyone has any sources please help me, ive been searching for over 2 weeks.

Hi I want to know the same thing. Do you ask the salon to do the top part blond and the bottom half what ever colour you want??

I just wanted to let you know that I have personally done this before! I loved it! I think it is really nice when a person does the light on top and dark underneath! It's a great contrast! It is very cute when it is put in a bannana clip or in some other up do. So I say go for it!

I am after exactly the same thing. Like, a caramel blonde on top and a darker tone, almost brown, underneath. Then the the lighter blonde needs layering so the dark colour comes out underneath at the bottom.

I need a photo so my stylist doesn't get the wrong idea. I'm rubbish at explaining things!

I'm trying to get the same look myself, my hair is a medium ashy brown, but I can't seem to get the blonde part to work out. I don't want to have to bleach it, but otherwise it looks streaky and too yellowish. Any suggestions?

I want the same thing done to my hair also. Does it have a certain name? I've always thought it was called "Two toned" but I googled it and didnt get any results.
