Yes.

Is the simple answer :) IHR is very good at straightening hair :)

You have to imagine that after IHR your hair will be as if you had naturally straight hair. People with naturally straight hair might have to do a little work if for example they sleep restlessly and so crimp their hair during sleep or their hair might be 97% straight but need a little attention on the fringe. That said there are also those who need do nothing but wash-n-go.

Our stylists could advise but if your hair is too short for the IHR system, the brazilian system might be a better bet for you. Our styslists can advise you in a free consultation call us on 0207 836 8883 for your appointment.

Hi
I wanted to know if i were to have IHR could it get my wavy hair 100% straight. I am after a straightening treatment that will leave me with not having to straighten my hair further each day.

p.s my hair is about 4 inches long all over, is that long enough to have the treatment done.

thx

Actually I doubled checked my previous answer with our senior stylists and they tell me that you are right, colour can go a shade lighter in some cases and in exceptional circumstances can also have a light reddish tinge.

And by the sounds of it they are using the same products as we would use.

Prices will vary, you'll pay for experience and results. Because we do this process day in day out we can be certain of our results. If there's one thing you don't want, it's mistakes on your hair.

Hi Andrew, thanks for replying. They are listed on the JL-Ion uk website (that's how I found them), and the products used are Bio-Ionic Bio-Soft creams (relaxer etc.) and the Bio-Ionic "Mover" straightening irons. Does that sound like the right products compared to what you use at Colour Nation?
The straightening definitely works, and they charge a really, really fair price. It would just be great not to have the reddish highlights!

We haven't heard of IHR affecting hair colour before - are you sure they're using IHR and not some alternative.

We normally advise you can colour your hair two weeks after treatment.

Hi, I'm going for IHR straightening on Friday, but have noticed that it turns my mid to dark brown hair slightly gingery. The hair stylist agrees but hasn't offered any solutions to this. Can anyone here help? If nothing can be done then I would use a semi-permanent colour afterwards just to tone things down a bit. The ionic guy usually says I need to wait a month before using any colour after straightening, but could anyone else disagree with this as I'm using wash-in/wash-out stuff and will probably use herbatint natural product. Please advise as I don't want to have ginger highlights for Christmas! Thanks.
