hi
I have straight hair but it is fuzzy, i've tried all the frizz control products etc. Would permanant hair straightening make my hair smoother to look at?

How muchdoes the process cost and how long does it take?

Thanx
Sumi

Hi there,

Yeah I'm afraid the re-touch with a graduate stylist would be the same price as it is not about the length of the hair but the volume.

Regards,

Val

I am considering IHR, and I would like to ask if you have to pay for the retouch 6-12 months after the treatment on new hair growth? If so, how much?

I would love to have this done, but if it costs another £280 (graduate stylist) for the retouch, I'm not sure I can afford it.

Thanks.

You can colour your hair two weeks before straightening with no problems. The straightening processes might lighten the colour a little.

there are two option for straightening.

IHR which is permenant where you will just redo the regrowth
or brazlian which will wash out in time. The former will need 8-12 month retouches and the later 3-4 months visits.

Come in and see us for a free consultation.

Hi

i have had my hair coloured off n on since last four years.Lat time got my hair highlighted was in August 2005.I want to get my hair recoloured, but the issue is that i also want to get them permanently straightened.I am aware of the fact that i need to get my hair straightened before getting them a new colour, but i want to know for how long does the permament straightening works?if it works till the regrowth of new hair then that means re visits will be needed.is it possible to get the wavy, curly hair back in shape after a year or so of permanent straightening?

Hi there,

I'm not all that familiar with wellastrate in general, however most straightenings advise not to shampoo after the treatment for a few days.

So I guess that might have been the problem!

If you still have the instructions leaflet take a look at that, you might even have a support number from Wella.

Good news, if you want to top the wellastrate you could use the brazillian chemical free straightening available here at ColourNation, which will also treat your hair.

Regards,

Val

Hi there,

The most important thing with IHR is not to put any bleach in the hair (before or after) as this would cause damage to the hair that could even lead it to snap!

You could go lighter with a few lights as long as it is colour, however we do not advise too much high-lift tints.

There is always the option of the Brazillian straightening though, which is a semi-permanent starightening (lasts 3-4 months) that would make your hair far more manageable, and the good news is that you can even have bleach on your hair, so lightening your hair would not be a problem!

If you'd like you could always come in for a consultation first before your appointment.

Consultations here at ColourNation are free and with no obligation.

To book for your appoitment and/or consultation you may contact us on 0207 836 8883.

regards,

Val

Hi Colournation,

I have mid- to dark- blonde hair, and I would really like to lighten it. I would also like to have IHR. My hair hasn't been bleached or coloured for about four years, and it isn't that curly, just quite wavy and thick; I am sure the IHR would work fine.

My question is: if I waited, say three weeks after IHR, could I lighten my hair then?

It wouldn't be too major (not platinum blonde or anything), just a few shades lighter than my current, natural colour.
Thanks!

Hey there,

the extension woud be pretty safe to do.. there are even some clip-ons on the market which can look quite cool (as long as the bangs are thick enough to cover the grips)

most importantly if you are thinking of doing the permanent straightening do not put any bleach on your hair!

Regards,

Val
