Hey there,

Yeah definitely grow out roots first, as your scalp probably needs a good break

It might well be the case that you will be able to stay quite blonde,...you probably just had to many applications recently... Thing is, to be in any way blonde from a level 3 you will always need to use bleach, as a colour is likely to give you some kind of orange.....

but we'll take a good look once here..

Enjoy being blonde in the meantime

Regards,

Val

Hi! My hairdresser did exactly as you said....treated each band and now it's all very even and very light blonde (as blonde as it can pretty much get considering my hair is about a 3)........

the problem is, my scalp is getting more and more sensitive and the bleach was on for such a long time that I had big welts and swellings on my head and forehead. They went down over night but I am worried that treating my scalp to this repeatedly will eventually make the hair fall out.

So....although I want to get as much light in my hair as possible, I am willing to compromise for the sake of keeping my hair on my head! I know I will have to come in for a consultation so you can have a look and mix up a perfect colour but do you have any ideas that I can cling on to til I get to you?! For example, is a bronde kind of colour maintanable for a level 3 brunette? Or would it have to go darker but keep some blonde highlights in it? I really need a colour specialist and you may class it as a colour correction!

It's currently blonde on top, my natural dark brown underneath, no roots and pretty good condition but just starting to feel a tinsey bit slippery when wet.

Oh, and would you object to me growing out my roots for a few months before I come to you so I can enjoy my last bit of bleached blonde for as long as possible :)

Hey there,..

You are absolutely right, it will just create a bigger mess!!

You re definitely better off treatig each band differently to even out the colour...

Putting high-lights in can work too,..but only if you will be putting in some brown to go through the ends too, otherwise you'll just have brown blotches at the top

Whichever way, you would need to treat this as a colour correction, so would be quite a long fiddley job,..but not impossible!

Regards,

Val

Bleach blonde with banding!

Hi I hope you can give me some good advice! My natural hair colour is very dark brown but I currently have the natural dark brown on the bottom, light bleach blonde on top look. I left it 12 weeks to get my roots bleached because I was afraid of overlapping and exposing my hair to chemicals too often but because they were so long, the bleach didnt take very well (even had the hairdresser bleach them again a week after!) and they went blondey orange. Now I have more brown regrowth (8 weeks worth). So I have my natural brown roots a tthe top, then a wide orangey band, then a very very light (almost white) section that blends into a light blonde. Bascially its a mess!

I was thinking of asking for having my roots highlighted to light blonde in lots of foils (so that off the scalp strong bleach can be used) so that the bands begin to blend in and I have some natural dark brown running through the top...or will this just add to the mess that is my hair?!

Should I just have the regrowth and the orange band bleached with a on scalp application?

The condition is still really good luckily!
