hey there. Yes men and women do go for highlights. And they do not hurt the scalp. Trust me. I've gotten them before.

I honestly think that highlights for blondes are beautiful. you can basically go with any color and they do define your character. as for the scalp, highlights doesn't hurt the scalp. make sure you properly condition your hair. this help prevents harsh hair and breakage.

I have a question...I had streaks of blonde put in my hair a while ago and recently I went to get my roots filled in and add blonde hightlights to my hair. However, the lady who did my hair ended up putting brown/blonde highlights in which were not the color I was looking for. I was wandering what the lady would have to do to make my highlights have more blonde color to them?

I am a 36 year old guy with brown spiky, slightly thinning hair. I am considering having highlights / lowlights put in. I do not want a dramatic change just something subtle to make a change. I am just a bit nervous about taking the plunge. What do you think.
