hey there,
Blue clip-ins or extensions are the better way to get the look you are after without damaging your hair... and on the plus-side they don;t fade as much either!! ![]() Regards, Val

Ok just thought id tell u, incase any1 else hasnt, blue highlights ive heard is a VERY hard colour to maintain, as there is no natural blue in your hair it is difficalt for the colour to 'take' therfore u ussualy have to re apply it after washing your hair which is why most people go for red as there is natural red in everyones hair, but goodluck :) im going for red or blue soon - as soon as they can bleech the black out LOL

I think black hair with blue highlights is really cute! One of my friends has black hair with blue highlights, it's about 2 inches below shoulder length, layered, with no bangs, and it's super cute! you just have to make sure you choose the right blue. you don't want to go too dark, because then it is barely noticeable, but not too light because then it would be such a contrast change between the blue and the black. I would say you should go with a color like this: http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y215/turky_ii/blue_hair_2.jpg
try to get more of an electric blue, and it will look great! you might want to get only 4 or 5 strips of blue. try two on one side, and two on the other and one in the back. this may not look the best though, depending on how you part your hair. if you have a middle part, i would go with 2 strips on one side, one strip on the other, and one in the back, but don't put the back one directly in the back, put it more toward the side with only one strip. but of course, if you have black hair, you will have to either bleach your hair or dye it blond where you are going to put the blue.

Hi there...
the problem with having dyed black hair, is that high-lighting it is only bound to give you a 'gingery colour'.... automatically it is impossible to achieve the blue unfortunately,..as the hair needs to be a white blonde, before putting the blue over it a copper or a red, or perhaps even a purple would be far easier options.. ![]() Regards, Val

you will need to bleach the areas you want blue firstly then apply the blue over this so i do suggest going to a professional, as for were you should put the blue depends a lot on the haircut or style of your hair so they can be placed to compliment it. If your in the area at any time, feel free to call in for a no obligation, free consultation.
Grant PS its a great look blue with black.

I recently dyed my hair black.
Now I want to add some blue highlights. I want to know how the color will come out. And also, giv me some ideas on where I should put the blue highlights.
