i have dark brown hair , and im getting my hair highlighted. i was thinking mabey a light brown and mabey a blonde ? .. i DONT like the yellow blonde i like the almost whiteish blonde ... give me advice please.

blonde and light brown,..sounds like a good contrast,...you need to ask for an ash blonde so it's not yellow...

No you can go back blonde, they just have to bleach out the black sometimes a few times for it to work, then proceed with proper color fixings from there.

No I dont think its true. I have bleach blonde hair and almost black under...I diesd my hair awhile back to a dark brown (my natural color)and hated it. I did get my hair back to blonde but it will take awhile. You have to go back blonde in steps..A shade lighter each time. But dont do it all in the same day. Wait a week in between so you dont fry your hair!

you said you had a light blonde underneath the a dark color. how did that look? i was thinking of getting that done but I can't find a picture. Do you have one by any chance?

im looking to also change my hair so that its lighter on top, and darker on the bottom! now i have pretty light skin and some freckles, but i usually cover them up with make-up. my husband said he always thought i would look good with blonde hair, but i dont want to make that much of drastic change! so i wanted a blondish brown on top, like not super blonde but brown and then a brown on the bottom, prob my natural hair color. if u have any pics or advice please send me a e-mail at newyorkgirl_@hotmail.com thanks!

Hey there...

Another option you could opt for ,..not to have such a drastic change,..is to just do blonde highh-lights on top,..which would not distort your own natural colour completely.

if you still would want to add the darker bottomit you can always add a chunk of the dark colour at the bottom...

of course all this would be good only once you got layers
