Hey there,

Well, it sounds to me like a whole blonde might be a huge step for your complexion.

Perhaps you could work on adding much more high-lights to start with which will make you a even blonder.

Regards,

Val

i think one thing that people should remember about colour is that pretty much any permenant/quazi colour or bleach can be dangerous (and this is the important bit) IN THE WRONG HANDS. another thing you must remember is some results just are not achievable straight away and some things take time. i constantly find myself explaining to clients that its not really possible or advisable to go from a base 2 (black) to a 10 (lightest blonde)and i then talk them into lightening up to maybe a dark blonde or light brown the first time and then comeing back in a few months to lighten a few more shades until they achieve the desired result.
this is more time consuming but will always give you a better result and healthier hair in my opinion.

my best advice for you is go to a reputable professional and consult with a stylist who will advise you on the best course of action for your hair.

Well,..

Bleaching hair might cause it to dry-out a bit, but if done well, and being virgin hair you shouldn't get too much damage - of course if done professionally!

Going back to a darker shade from blonde (once you're tired of it) is not that difficult, however you must keep in mind that it is difficult to recreate a perfectly natural colour.

Enjoy being blonde!

Regards

Val

Hi there,

It sounds like your hair has been super over-processed!

It's fine to be dark and go blonde, but most importantly once you go blonde one shouldn't continue over-lapping the already bleached hair with more bleach, as that is what causes the hair to break,..which is why it feels and looks thinner.

As to if your hair will get healthy again ... the answer is yes, but in time.

Eventhough you have covered the bleach with a dye your hair still is essentially 'bleached'. What you would need to do is to treat it on a regular basis, and most of all cut it regularly so slowly you get rid of those ends.

If you use hair straighteners very often that doesn;t help much either of course.

Maybe you could look at some strong treatments we have in store such as the Nanomax and the brazillian.

Should you like to get more information you can call us on 0207 836 8883

Regards,

Val

But then i put another half a head of highlights in..in march i cant belive i did it again!! But my boyfriend at the time liked "blondes" so! But anyways ill get too the point sorry for the life story! Umm do u think it will get thicker again like it use too ill never put bleach in it again ! Ive used a home colour now and taken it back brown and thats how im staying!! I just wish id never have done it ever! And now im so worried it'll stay thiner it isnt very thin just thin compared too wht it use too be. What do u think please help ! Thanks sarah x

Hey Roxy,

IT is not impossible, but it all depends on how dark the hair is - and most of all is there any dye in your hair at the moment?

You need to make sure you go to someone who's got plenty of experience with bleaching!

It might be a good idea to have a consultation first.

Here at ColourNation consultations are free and with no obligation.

To book for a consultation you may contact us on 0207 836 8883.

Regards,

Val
