Just reading your mail. I am in same position. Great fan of optismooth but cannot find a salon near - original salon hiked price up as they knew how desperate I was for it.

What is an IHR? Also, is optismooth a relaxer or more?? I am today going to have the Paul Mitchell relaxer done but stylist has said I will still have to straighten it - that sort of defeats the object as I didnt with optismooth. But, also, fed up looking like a poodle if hair gets wet and going away next week so want to look OK when I get out of pool rather than a poodle. Really confused. Please advise if possible. Thankks

Hi Val

Thanks for your reply. Another question.. I noticed that I have been losing so much hair in the last five years through Matrix Opti Smooth treatments. Luckily I have thick hair so I have got away with it. But I am now getting older and my hair is less thick than it used to be.

I wonder if it is the same with IHR? Do other people who took IHR treatment lose hair as well?

Thanks!

Mira

Hi Mira,...

We do not have first hand experience with Matrix Opti-smooth, however when we settled for having IHR at our salon we felt that was the best product on the market to create straight yet natural looking hair (not too stiff, not too fluffy)

Looking through reviews on the web the matrix system seems to be more of a relaxer than a permanent straightening.

Regards,

Val

Hi

I have had Matrix Opti-Smooth straightening treatment about 2 times a year for the past five years and am wondering what is the difference between Matrix Opti Smooth and IHR?

Thanks! I am a new user to this forum!
