the main issue really is that you have to keep in mind that Xtenso is only a temporary strightening system, so it's not permanent like Yuko....

of course, you would use it only on your regrowtrh, as you can't go through the hair that has alreadt been straightened.

regards,

Val

Hi to all, for all those interested, Im a stylist and i can attest that extenso only gives a "natural" looking straight hair, not the pin-straight look some people want. you would still need to style it with straightening iron to get the really straight look. but in fairness to extenso if before it takes you 20 mins to iron your hair, after using extenso it will only take you 5mins because your hair is more manageable and you only have to iron the ends.

Yes but it doesn't last very long at all. Yuko's results can be 'stiffer' and less lifelike than IHR permenant hair straightening.

X-tenso is brilliant if you simply want your hair to be a lot more manageable but i still do use my straighteners. I found that proper chemical straightening such as yuko creates a flat result so its up to ur personal preference x

L'oreal xtenso is the best. I have wavy poofy hair and the stright effect lasts forever on my hair till my original hair starts growing out. It is very important that the salon you go to know what they are doing with the product to get the best long lasting effects. Try it out it is worth it. Was a dream come true for me. VV

Yes I would agree, we do offer X-tenso and it's a fine product as far as it goes but results are no where near as good a IHR Permanent Straightening (we don't believe it will last anything like 6 months) and this is reflected in it's reduced price. We expect X-tenso to last 3-8 weeks.

hI, Not sure if its too late to answere this, but if you are talking about L'Oreal Optismooth I would say that its no where as good as the japanese system is suppposed to be. I have been having my hair done with Optismooth and although it was ok the first time (only the back could be done first due to poor hair elsewhere which I am still growing out) its not been that great to date 2 years on. I really do have to use straightening irons to get a sleek look and basically prevent it getting damp.
I hope this helps but would love to hear from you if you have had it done now and have a different experience and also where you got it done ect as my experience may be down to the saloon..
Let me know.
