Hi,
I have thick, frizzy hair and used to use perming solution to straighten it. But I went to ColourNation in Soho, London about 6 months ago and they used the same stuff as Afro-Carribean salons use. On white hair it works really well, but be warned, it hurts! It feels like small stings all over your head, I managed to keep the stuff on for 30 seconds before they had to wash it out. Even though it was only on for a short amount of time, my hair still stayed straight for about 4 months!! It cost about £50 for the treatment and the only bad thing other than the pain were a few small blisters on my hair line. These went after a day or 2. If you can stand the pain, do it, it's worth it, it looked great. Best of luck Andrew

Ive been reading and finding out about permanent hair straightening and have read both positive and negative comments on the results it has given different people. I would really love to get my hair straightened as i have thick very frizzy hair and it would be nice to be able to lay off the hair straighters for a while. However after readings some negative comments about the results not lasting very long does put me off especially because of the price. Is there anyway ou can ensure lasting results?
