Hi there,
I guess all you really want to do is tone down the platinum white hair. To turn bleached hair into a softer blonde you would need a toner.... It is of utmost importance that you do not use any ash tones as these will give you a green tinge,...go for gold tones only. Regards, Val

If your hair is a platinum/white sort of blonde you would need to use a golden tone.#
It all depends on the shade you want to achieve, and the current shade of blonde. ![]() Regards, Val

depending on just how blonde your hair is you may have to pre pig your hair first or it will turn a nasty green colour.

I would use a semi permenant colour on the bleached parts, ie farendol by loreal choose a shade close to the colour you want to acheve, just brush it in leave for 10-15 mins, then wipe it out with paper towel (do not wash out) then apply your chosen permenant colour, the semi acts as a fill in and you should acheve an even result, that doesnt wash or fade quicker than the rest of your hair.

You are kind of on the right lines with regards to applying a 'red' colour before the final colour. The way this works is to pre-pigment the lightened hair. If you have coloured your hair lighter several times, the hair may just be too porus and the colour is going to keep fading out if you dont re build the hair structure. You need a protein based treatmentg for the hair, this should help rebuild the hair so that when you colour it, the colour should stay. I would recommend having your hair coloured in a salon though because it it difficult to know what colour pigment to put into the hair. Richard

For about 7 years I have been dying my light brown hair, black, early this year I had 2 blonde streaks put in my hair which i dyed blue, when i was bored of the that i bleached the hair again and dyed it another colour. I did this a few more times. Last month i tried to dyed the streaks black again as I had a work funtion to attend, the black lasted only a few days and then faded to a gross light brownish colour. A friend suggested I need to dye it red and then black, which I did and I have tried dying over with black again several times and it always goes just a little darker every time but now with a reddish tinge to the brown.
