The reality is with that kind of red you need to re-fresh it every week,..a bit like keeping a platinum blonde nice and vibrant with a silver toner or shampoo...

using a scarlet type of tome in crazy colour works great.. using majicontrast for the re-growth and then toning can work too.

Rihanna red is just a high maintenance colour

Hi there, i need some help!
Im a Senior stylist in the hampshire area. This question is actually about myslef but just dont know what route to go down!

I have bright red (rihanna red) hair. But cant seem to maintain it, I understand that red doesnt last and i understand the theory side behind it, i have tried all the well known brands out there but nothing, and i mean nothing, seems to stick. I coloured my hair today with marjirel - majicontrast rouge red and hasnt one a thing but cover my roots! i love my red hair but finding it very frustrating and very close to just slapping a brown all over, which i know i will regret if i do so. Ive also tried dry shampoo, hardly washing my hair, tried all the well known hints and tips but nothing seems to work! im left with a copper colour. As i like to call it the refesher sweet look! in the mean time im using crazy colour red on it, but then im left with a deep pink!

So if anyone knows any hints and tips for the colour to maintain, that would be fab!
