HI!
I read your message.
If your straightning treatment doesn't work you can get a hair straightener.
My hair is naturaly wavey! So I use a hair straightener.
It's called Straight To The Max. It also comes with shampoo and it keeps your hair straight for 2 months!
You should try it!

Hi Dee,

I'm glad to see the previous reply was useful.

Which salon to visit? Difficult call, Covent Garden is a bit more expensive than Soho and West Hampstead. But Nando in Soho is very experienced, conversly Toshi and Luiz in Covent Garden get rave reviews. Perhaps it's best if you ring the salons/drop by and talk to the stylists to find out who you like best. What ever you decide I'm sure you'll be really pleased with the results they're all really excellent stylists.

Sure we can also do a cut, again any of the stylists above can also do this for you. Bring pictures of what you'd ideally like and work with the stylist on a hair style for you. Price for a re-design & finish is short £40 long £45 in Covent Garden.

I'm sure you'll soon be 'richer/more confident/dancing in the rain' :)

Andrew

Hi Andrew,

Thank you for your reply, sorry it took ages to answer, but the weather got good and the hair was semi under control, and the finances were poor!

Today however I had to have lunch with my manager (his birthday) and all his sleek looking colleagues and due to the fine drizzle, I looked like the mad poodle at the end of the table! It really was the last straw...if you pardon the pun!

Oh..and lest I forget..the boyfriend brought a digital camera and quite apart from over analysing my somewhat alien face (!) my hair is really letting me down, also am in danger of aforementioned relationship going down the toilet, due to a constant vice like grip on my umbrella and utterances such as 'for God's sake its only a light drizzle babes!' so am thoroughly depressed and fed up being known as the mad/frizzy yellow one.

So...will pop to one of Colour Nation's Salons, which one do you recommend? although am very nervous/poor/scared of the rain feel if I am to become richer/more confident/dancing in the rain, I need to speculate to accumulate.

Just one last thing, my last hair cut by an inspirational lad at 'Rush' in Richmond, has now grown out and I am quite sure that once straightened I will need to have it shaped or continue with the mullet style I seem to be sporting - but straight!! Can you do this, and roughly how much extra would it cost?

Thank you in advance for all your info and any to come, and will try and muster up the confidence to actually get into the salon without thinking such thoughts as 'maybe it will never rain in England again!'.....fat chance!

Dee

OK lots of questions :)

Firstly we'd need to workout if your hair has suffered any damage - if you've used straightening irons without a protector as a tempory measure to straighten your hair you could have damage. The only way for us to assess this will be for your to come in for a free consultation.

The good news is that we can do Ionic Straightening on coloured hair (but not on bleached hair) provided it wasn't done recently (last two weeks).

Then we'd wait another two weeks before trying to colour your hair (this gives the straightening time to settle in).

Correcting colour is always a little trickier than colouring virgin hair but we can offer a strand test (search this site) which will allow you to see the results of a colour on your hair with the colour you have in it right now. You can do this when you come in for the straightening so you'll know ahead of time exactly what the colour will look like.

More good news is that with our ColourFactory technology we have a huge range of blondes from which you can choose exactly the colour you want.

You mentioned that ash blonde is your ideal. I was in Covent Garden salon earlier today and Luiz did a truely amazing ash blonde - it looked just like Heather Locklier (hope I spelt that right).

Anyway hope that helps.

Andrew

Hi,

I am one of those unfortunate individuals who has curly/frizzy kind of hair, that is fine, but alot of it. I currently use a home (eek!) beige blonde dye to elevate it from mousy brown to blonde. Here is my problem, I have recently grown it from short to just about shoulder length, although this looks crap!!Kinda like a mullet type effect! I would like to have the straightening treatment, also I want to steer away from the brassy blonde colour that i always end up with and give it a more ash blonde look, ending up with, hopefully, a STRAIGHT with classy chunky ash blonde highlights, bob. Is this possible to combine the colour and the straightening, and can you rectify this brassy blonde thing that I have got going on??!!
