Hey there,

I must admit,..you are totally right in all that you are saying, and quite frankly you seem to have better knowledge than the hair stylist you spoke to.

Most importantly you are realistic that you mightget some red-tones out of your high-lights, but rightfully said you can tone them down.

You are not trying to be platinum blonde so I don;t quite understand why the hair stylist is so afraid to do the high-lights..... maybe it's time for a new stylist

Most imprtantly remember that what you want is NOT un-reasonable.

Regards,

Val

Hair Colour Correction

I was directed to your forum from Youtube with my question. I have medium ash brown hair with about 30% grey. I colour my hair with Clairol Nice n Easy Med Ash Brown [Semi-permanent 24 washes] with great results... However disaster has struck. Only permanent Med Ash Brown is now available in Ireland and thinking there'd be no difference I used it. My hair is now black with a tideline of new growth in my natural mid ash brown! Not a good look when you're 51! I made an appointment with my haridresser to get high lights in to lighten the horror of the black, or even to block lighten the black, but they said today when I made the booking for tomorrow that it probably won't lift and I'm likely stuck with it. Surely not! If you have any suggestions I would be most grateful. Even if the highlights I get turn red, which I know is likely, I could tone them down with Light Ash Brown from Clairol. My vanity is sorely wounded as my hair was always rather lovely and I wore it with cherry red lipstick. I loved my ash tones. Witch of Endor is not a look I'm liking. Thanking you very much in advance.
