Hi there,

you might need to do a bleach-wash to lighten the darker bits first, and then apply an ashy med-brown to counter-act the red tones...

I would definitely look into doing this professionally at least first time round!

regards,

Val

hey there,

well I guess I would need to know what your hair looks like,..hiowever what is for sure is - the guy in the photo has got naturally curly hair, so unless yours is at least wavy, it would be difficult to re-create this style...or at least complicated!

If however, you do have curly hair, all you need there is a strong Gel, or a curling cream and scrunch your way through the top section.....

happy Scrunching!

Regards,

Val

hety there,

It does look like you ust need to cut in more layers and use more product on your hair!

Not wanting to go to a hair-stylist doesn;t really work though...at least when it comes to cutting in the layers!

As for product though,..you will need to use a matt wax :)

Regards,

Val

hey there,

If you are after some body after straightening the Brazillian blow-dry is definitely the one for you as this does not make the hair flat - just easier to manage...

You must bear in mind however that you woul dneed about 4 inches of length for the procedure...

Regards,

Val

Hi there,

It is possible to do IHr on a guy, however you would need a certain amount of length to carry out the procedure, which would usually be a good 4 inches all-over.

Perhaps it would be a good idea to come in for a consultation first..

You can book for a free consultation on 0845 8888 333.

Regards,

Val

If your hair is very straight to begin with you can jump right in at step one of our ghd guide?on how to curl your hair with Professional Hair Straighteners. ?However, if you have curly, wavy, or kinky hair, you will typically want to straighten you hair first, to create a clear canvas, if you will, on which to curl your masterpiece hairdo. So taday our ghd hair straighteners blog will give you some Professional guide How to Use a Hair Straightener to produce straight hair you can sculpt into something creative and uniquely YOU!

Tips on how to curl your hair with Professional Hair Straighteners

If possible, let your hair air dry. Comb or brush your tresses straight down, so they’ll be easier to divide into sections when it comes time to employ the hair straighteners. The use of a hair dryer will damage hair and will also create hair frizz caused by static electricity, making it more difficult to curl the hair for the look you want.

Now that your hair is dry, brushed straight and well-conditioned, here are a few steps to achieving gorgeous curls. First, spray on heat protector if your hair is fragile or has been damaged by blow drying or the use of chemicals in bleaching or perms. This is especially important if you are using a tool that does not use ceramic tourmaline heaters, which emit negative ions that help to seal in hair’s natural oils and moisturizers. The GHD Straightening Irons take Advance Ceramic Heaters,The heating panels are painted with Ceramic Paste imported from Korea; it can generate infrared ray and negative ions which can lock in moisture, natural oils, and hair color for total hair protection; the paint does not peel off after 40 thousand continuously straightening. As the global hair brand,GHD has lanched many new stylers every year. The New Pink GHD Straighteners are the best gift set for GHD lovers in 2010.

Next, divide the tresses into sections a single to two inches wide, and separate with clips. Grasp the 1st vertical part using the plates belonging to the styling device and curl it upwards toward your scalp. maintain it for about seven seconds, after which launch it. With time, you will understand how prolonged you must maintain the curl to obtain it to stay, without having holding so prolonged it damages your hair. Your straightener ought to be horizontal towards ground. If you need a curl, launch the frizzy hair by sliding out the device towards side. should you wish to turn that curl in to a twist, turn the device vertically and lightly pull it downward to launch the frizzy hair in to a loosened curl, or twist.

Keep in mind that the more hair you curl, the larger the curls will be. For tight curls, select a smaller amount of hair. Start towards your neck, grasping and curling sections as you move toward the top of your head. When that section has been curled, move laterally around your head, until every section, top to bottom, has been given attention. Use a mirror to check each section, and if touch-ups are needed, now is the time to handle them.

Finally, if you want the curls to stay as tight as possible, add hair spray immediately. For more relaxed curls, gently run your fingers through them to loosen them before hitting them with hair spray.

The perfect hair styles are possible, but remember that perfection takes time to achieve. Keep practicing on basic styles until you have them down pat, ?then stretch your technique to obtain more elaborate styles.? 'messy' hair style help?
G_Anonymous
Basically my hair is boring me now, i don't mind it but its the same old thing. I have to wash it every day and fancy doing something different.
Its very straight at times especially after using a hair dryer, the only time i will need to straighten is some of the ends get fluffy or a flick after drying & i am often asked 'do you straighten your hair?'

I really like the look of Liam P{ayne from X factor but not sure how to go about it. Mines similar. a little longer

Any advice? :) ( don't like going to hairdressers for this kind off stuff, im too much of a wimp haha)

IHR & Brazilian Blowdry
G_jayrobins@live.co.uk
I was wondering whether either of these treatments were suitable for guys. I've had my hair relaxed before and while the results weren't too bad, my hair became dead straight and lifeless and really dry. Would you be able to tell me whether either IHR or Brazilian Blowdry would be best for me? thanks in advance. Jay
